1 ) Warranty , terms and conditions of sales

Pattern number defines the pattern and colour of the product. Each product also has a batch number which defines the manufacturing period of that product. Although the products have the same pattern number, there can be tone differences between different batches. Thus you need to calculate the amount needed correctly and order at once in order to avoid batch differences. Keep the product label after installation in case any need of extra rolls. We cannot guarantee to supply you the same batch for your next orders.
Note that different batches of wallpaper can be installed to different walls.


2 ) Types of wallpaper and application methods

Technical specifications for each product is valid on their label. Types and application methods explained below are just for general purposes.

1  Vinyl Wallpaper
Cut the wallpaper according to the pattern repeat and apply the adhesive to the back of the wallpaper. Lap the surfaces with adhesiv on each otherand wait for 8-10 minutes.( do not wait for too long) Install the wallpaper on the wall.

2 Non-woven and textile wallcoverings
Apply the adhesive to the wall. Do not let adhesive to get on the surface of the wallpaper. If it does clean it immediate with a wet sponge and then after with a dry sponge.

3 Grasscloth Wallpaper

General width: 90cm Length: 5,50m -7,30 meters

Since the grasscloth wallcoverings are all handmade from natural products, seams of this kind of wallcoverings are visible after the application.

Since it is a natural product tone differences between the rolls and even in the same roll is widely possible. This is the nature and originality of grasscloth wallcoverings. Before application each roll should be examined in terms of tone difference and cut afterwards. The customer should decide which lengths should be used together. Darker lengths can be used in one wall and light coloured lengths can be applied to another wall.

Back of the grasscloth wallcoverings should be wet with clean water.Wait for 10-12 minutes.Apply the paste to the wall wider than the width of the wallcovering. In order to have a symetrical appereance on the wall, start from the midpoint of the wall. Apply the softened wallcovering on the wall.Press on the wallcovering with a dry cloth or a roll in order to prevent air bubbles.

Do not let the adhesive contact with the surface of the wallcovering. If it does clean it with a damp cloth gently.


4 Prepasted Wallpapers

This kind of wallpapers do not need an extra adhesive. They already have a dried adhesive at the back of the wallpapers. Dried adhesive on the wallpaper gets active when it contacts with water.
Cut the lengths according to the pattern repeat and roll the wallpaper inside out. Fill a container with water and submerged the rolled wallpaper into the container filled with water until all the surfaces of the wallpaper gets wet. (10-15 seconds) Apply the lengths of wallpaper one by one.


3 ) Preparing the surface of the wall

Old wallpapers on the wall should be removed. Rough surfaces of old paint should be rubbed with sandpaper. The wall should not be damp. Cracks on the wall should be repaired with plaster. Wall should be completely painted with a primer at the end. Colour of the primer should be close to the colour of the wallpaper.

If these is an oilpaint on the wall it should be rubbed with sandpaper and a primer paint then should be applied.

Wall liner can be applied as a solution to problematic surfaces.

Glossy wallpapers needs perfect wall surfaces. Before the application walls must be prepared in great care.


4 ) Adhesives

Always use high quality adhesives.
O Powder adhesives:Perfax or methylen powder adhesives should be mixed with right ratio of clean water until it becomes homogeneous (ratio is written on the labels of the adhesives) . For heavy wallcoverings %20 of liquid adhesived should be added to this mixture.

• Liquid Adhesives: Can be directly used without any need of mix.


5 ) Application

It is accepted that the wallpapers are being installed by a wallpaper specialist.

• Before cutting each roll, examine the whole roll carefully in case of any product or pattern fault.

• Check the ceiling ieght from 3 different points on the wall and accept the highest point as your reference.

• Check pattern repeat and matching from the label of the product. Decide from where to cut the pattern before installing.
• 3 lenghts of wallpaper should be cut at first. In case of faults that appear after the installation.
• Start the installation from the wall that gets the most day light.
• Draw a straight line on the wall with the help of a scale (20cm away from the edge), install the first length , place one edge of the first length to this line.
• Press on the wallpaper with a roll or a damp cloth in order to remove the air bubbles.
• Place the second length next to the first length. Be careful to match the pattern. Do not left a gap between the lengths and do not overlap them.
• Install the 3rd length the same way and wait 1 hour in order to detect any possible faults.
• After one wall is completely installed,r emove excessive parts from top and bottom of the wall with the help of a utility knife.
• Clean the whole wall with a clean damp cloth.
• Let the wall dry for 24 hours. Prevent any possible air circulation and direct sunlight. Turn off air conditioning and heating in the room. In case of fast drying of the wallpaper from the above possible causes, wallpaper will shrink and the seams started to get seen.

Note that even in cases of perfect installation on perfectly clear surfaced walls seams can be seen depending on the texture of the product.


6 ) Care and cleaning

Different kind of care and cleaning applies for each type of wallpaper. You can get information from us and from the label of the products.

Removing the dust with a dry cloth - For grasscloths and all natural products
